About Us

Hingham Youth Football (HYF) is dedicated to building strong athletes, confident leaders, and a passionate football community. Our program provides a safe, structured, and high-energy environment for young players to learn core football fundamentals, foster strong character, and experience the thrill of team sports. Built on a tradition of sportsmanship and town pride, HYF prepares players for success both on and off the gridiron.

Program Structure & Divisions

We field teams for players in 2nd through 8th grade. To ensure maximum participation, focused player development, and balanced competition, each grade level is organized into A and B teams. This dual-team structure allows every player to learn at an age-appropriate level, refine their technique, and build confidence alongside their peers.

Season Overview & Expectations

• Preseason Training: Preseason practices and training sessions launch in August to build conditioning, fundamentals, and team chemistry.
• In-Season Practices & Film: Once the regular season begins, in-season practices and film review take place on most weeknights at Lynch Field, giving players the tools and instruction they need to prepare for game days.
• Game Schedule: The regular season runs from September through mid-November. Players may participate in up to two games per weekend, with matchups scheduled across Saturdays and Sundays.
